“Yakitori Kodama” is a Yakitori restaurant in Tokyo. The restaurant is known for its meticulous use of high-quality ingredients and a well-curated selection of beverages that complement the dishes perfectly. The chef's hometown, Niigata, is richly represented in the menu, showcasing the region's finest ingredients. Yakitori Kodama offers high-quality grilled chicken that is meticulously prepared by skilled chefs in a chic and modern ambiance.

Cuisine and Wine Selection of Yakitori Kodama

At Yakitori Kodama, the course menu is carefully curated by the owner, who comes from Niigata Prefecture, showcasing the pride of ingredients from his hometown. The star of the menu is the rare "Niigata Jitokko" chicken, which is exclusively consumed within the prefecture after being raised for 115 days. All the seasonings, including salt, soy sauce, and miso, are sourced from Niigata as well. The course is carefully curated, allowing guests to fully savor the Niigata Jitokko chicken and indulge in creatively crafted dishes. The wine selection is also extensive, offering a variety of domestic wines, including those produced in Niigata Prefecture. Japanese wines that perfectly complement the traditional ingredients further enhance the dining experience.

Special Dish of Yakitori Kodama

For the finale of the course, guests can choose from three options: "Kakesoba" (soba noodles in a clear broth), "Soborogohan" (rice topped with seasoned minced chicken), or "Tamagokakegohan" (rice with a raw egg). Among these, the "Kakesoba" stands out as a highly popular choice. The meticulously prepared soup and the Chinese-style noodles made from whole wheat flour create a delightful combination. As dessert, guests can enjoy the renowned "Kodama Pudding," a popular homemade pudding made with the owner's carefully selected eggs. It is a delicacy that one should definitely savor after the meal.

Chef of Yakitori Kodama, Masahiko Kodama
