Good Chinese dim-sum & dishes in nice setting. Love the bite-size, lightly-salted, fried tofu. Prices 300-600 baht/person depending on what you order.

I had eaten at this restaurant ever since it was on Rama 3 Road. I went there to have some dim sum and a beef chow fun couple weeks ago. I was really disappointed in the food quality and the lack of enthusiasm from the owner. I ordered a dish of tofu skin rolls dim sum and I almost couldn’t recognize the dish when they brought it to my table. It came in a clay pot and the rolls were fully submerged in sauce/broth; no one in their right mind would serve tofu skin rolls dim sum in a clay pot and put so much sauce that this dim sum dish literally becomes a soup dish. It made the rolls extremely soggy and tasted like leftovers reheated with microwave. I asked the owner why there is so much sauce with the tofu skin rolls. His answer was Thai people love to drink the sauce like a broth and hence the pot full of broth and offered no apologies and no offer to replace or comp the dish. I was thinking in my mind so the owner is admitting selling “unauthentic” dim sum and he didn’t see it as a problem… I had eaten almost all of their dim sum dishes from previous visits and all were average at best and some I could tell they were frozen and not fresh. I also had a beef chow fun during the last visit, it was bland and lack of wok hei (the intense heat from the wok that would lightly caramelize the noodles and soy sauce in very short amount of time). So, I paid almost 500 Baht for an unauthentic soggy dim sum dish/soup and a mediocre beef chow fun, I think it was totally not worth it and I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Authentic Cantonese cuisine at great value. Hidden in the middle of small complex along Sathupradit 19 alley away from the main road. Taste as good as you could get at any decent restaurant in Hong Kong at a fraction of the price there. Roasted duck, steammed fish and sharkfin dishes are highly recommended.
