Good food, service, and atmosphere BUT EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. We spent over 8,000 THB for 1 soup, 1 salad, a few pieces of steak, 1 bottle of red wine and got a complementary dessert - not even a full-course meal for two. Despite the premium quality meat, I would have hoped to get more for almost 300 USD.  For this, I’m compelled to give 3 stars for the whole experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Flat Marble, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Bangkok. This quaint restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its fantastic selection of European dishes, most notably their delectable steaks, beef tartar, pasta, and heavenly puddings.

Now, let's dive into the star of the show – the steak. Flat Marble's steaks are a cut above the rest. Cooked to perfection, they were wonderfully tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The chefs at Flat Marble truly know how to elevate a simple steak to new heights, making it an absolute must-try for any meat lover.

Another standout dish at Flat Marble is their beef tartar. The combination of finely minced beef, fragrant herbs, and tangy seasonings created a flavor explosion that left me craving for more. The attention to detail in the presentation was impressive, with each bite delivering a harmonious balance of flavors that left my taste buds dancing.

For pasta enthusiasts, Flat Marble offers a range of options that will satisfy even the most discerning palates. The pasta dishes here are expertly prepared, with fresh ingredients and flavorful sauces that transport you straight to Italy. Whether it's a comforting bowl of carbonara or a zesty seafood linguine, the pasta at Flat Marble never fails to please.

To top off an already extraordinary dining experience, the desserts at Flat Marble are nothing short of divine. Their homemade puddings are a symphony of velvety textures and indulgent flavors, leaving a lasting impression on the palate. From classic favorites like chocolate and vanilla to unique creations such as salted caramel and raspberry, there is a pudding to suit everyone's taste.

Had the chance to try the Omi A5 striploin — it literally melts in your mouth! Zero complaints on the taste of the food but it was too expensive and the portion was too small (we paid 2,200+ THB per person). Felt like you could find cheaper alternatives with similar quality. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable dining experience with beautiful decorations and hospitable service from the staffs

My visit to Flat Marble left an indelible culinary memory. The steak I had was arguably the best I've ever tasted - incredibly tender, and it seemed to melt instantly upon contact. What's even more exceptional is their clever use of the steak's fats and juices to create a complimentary and delectable fried rice.

The Foie gras came with a trio of carefully crafted condiments - fig sauce, strawberry sauce, and balsamic reduction - enhancing the rich texture of the duck liver delightfully.

The Pesto Pasta with Scallops was another standout, boasting the freshness of the seared scallops and the high-quality ingredients evident in the pesto. What's intriguing is the open-kitchen setup, where you can witness the chef's artistry without any discomfort from heat or smoke.

Booking a reservation in advance is essential due to the popularity of this place, and the cost per person at 1050 THB is well worth the experience. An extra touch was the complimentary birthday dessert that was provided, adding a special note to the evening. Flat Marble truly offers a culinary journey that marries quality and creativity seamlessly.

Located at 68 Sukhumvit Soi 31, Aston Dining Room & Bar is the brainchild of head chef Zra Jiraratana. The eatery boasts an open kitchen concept, allowing diners to witness their dishes being prepared right in front of them. With a limited capacity of roughly 19 guests per day, Aston is able to provide personalized attention to each patron. Here are some of the most popular specialty dishes that have been served so far: The oyster appetizer is a culinary masterpiece, influenced by Japanese cuisine and beautifully accompanied by ponzu jelly, sea grape, and sliced cucumbers, resulting in a balance of refreshing and umami flavours. Another appetizer, the cold angel hair pesto, is enhanced with sakura ebi prawns, sea grape, and a delectable balance of seasonings. The scallop dish is a standout with its XO sauce, crispy pork crackling, Iberico ham, and flavourful sea foam complementing the delicate mollusk.
