Tenyuu Grand is a Japanese restaurant with sushi bar reserved for omakase customer. It has the same owner as Omakase Ten, my usual and highly sushi bar next door.

I wasn't able to get a seat there so I decided to give Tenyuu Grand omakase a try. I did tell the chef that I usually go next door.

The chef joked with each other about stepping up their game in friendly banter. Overall, the taste and ingredients are close to their cousin next door but I still would give Omakase Ten a notch up.

However, Tenyuu is not a very good backup and can easily stand up to other omakase in Bangkok in the 1999 THB price category.
