Beautiful speakeasy bar in the Four Seasons Hotel! Very kind welcome and service. The martini was surprisingly pre-made but explained and very tasty! The small welcome drink and bite with the “entrance minimum charge” are good.

A decent place to spend an hour or two in downtown Seoul (North of Han river), we only had two cocktails, their signature Old Fashioned and classic espresso martini. I am not really impressed with them but may go back and try something else.  A fairly popular place so recommend calling ahead to see how busy they are. There is a cover charge, 10,000 won, which includes welcome drink. Cocktail is around 30,000 won each. Open until 3 am.

Charles H in Seoul is an exquisite gem tucked away in the basement of the Four Seasons hotel, reminiscent of a luxurious 19th-century speakeasy. The ambiance exudes opulence, transporting guests back in time. Led by the talented bar manager Odd, the experience is nothing short of extraordinary. Odd's personalized touch in crafting drinks adds an unparalleled level of sophistication to the visit. I highly suggest sitting at the bar to fully enjoy the experience. Despite its clandestine/hidden location, akin to a prohibition-era establishment, the journey to find Charles H is part of the allure, making discovering this hidden gem all the more rewarding. Without a doubt, Charles H deserves its esteemed place among the Asia’s 50 best bars. As we were guests of the hotel, we visited several times during our stay.

Amazing place for great cocktails and atmosphere. Their signature cocktails are tasty. The bartenders are very professional. The head bartender is so kind and professional. It was just so delightful watching him make drinks. Thanks to his generosity to share some of the greatest recommendations on restaurants and bars in Seoul!
